Chicago School of Golf – 2026 Golf Camp

A completely re-imagined camp experience built from parent and camper feedback.

2026 is our biggest year ever at Chicago School of Golf. After reviewing hundreds of parent and camper surveys, we analyzed every part of our junior golf camps. From curriculum and competitions to check-in flow and on-course coaching, we refined and enhanced each elemnet to create the most fun, structured, and development-focused camp experience weve ever offered. This off-season, our team evaluated every detail and made meaningful improvements. We’re excited to share our new and improved 2026 Summer Camp experience with you.

⭐ WHAT IS NEW & UPGRADED FOR 2026?⭐

šŸ”„ What We Are MOST Excited About: MORE COMPETITIONS!

Surveys told us campers LOVE competitions—and we took that to heart.

2026 Includes:

  • Daily competitions at every camp
  • Weekly winners at each location
  • NEW: CSOG Weekly Camp-Wide Competition
    • All camp locations compete against each other
    • Scores update in real time
    • Adds excitement, teamwork, and motivation

šŸ“Š We Went Digital: Live Leaderboards!

Parents can now see standings online and on-site.
Every location has a monitor displaying the leaderboard during drop-off and pick-up.

This new system brings the fun, energy, and community of competitive golf to every camper.

šŸ“˜ New & Improved Curriculum + Camper Skill Checklists

Parents asked for more transparency in skill development—and we delivered. All campers receive:

  • A level-specific skill checklist
  • Progress tracking throughout the week
  • Clear learning objectives
  • A take-home recap to share improvement with family

This gives parents a full understanding of what their child is learning and how they’re progressing.

šŸ† Level 4 Is Now Its Own Stand-Alone Camp

Designed specifically for our older, more advanced campers.

Level 4 now includes:

  • Different camp times (separate start/end)
  • More advanced stations
  • Level-4-only challenges and prizes
  • Dedicated coaches trained exclusively for competitive junior golfers

This structure ensures Level 4 athletes get the intensity and focus they need.

⛳ All Campers Play on the Golf Course (All Locations, All Levels)

Every level now includes real on-course play every week. Campers build confidence, learn strategy, and experience the joy of playing golf the way it’s meant to be played.

šŸŽ“ CSOG Coach Training Upgrade – Coaches Assigned by Level Only

We heard you: “More specialized coaching.”

For 2026, every coach will teach only one level — the level they’ve been specifically trained and certified in. Our offseason training program was completely rebuilt, so campers will see:

  • Better skill development
  • More consistency
  • Age-appropriate instruction
  • Higher-quality feedback

This is our most advanced coaching system ever.

Your Camper Will Experience:

  • World-class instruction
  • On-course play every week
  • Competitive games and challenges
  • A structured curriculum that builds confidence
  • Specialized coaches for each development stage
  • A fun and supportive environment

2026 is shaping up to be our best camp season in CSOG history—thanks to you, our families, for your feedback and support.

Next Steps After Camp – Keep the Momentum Going

Camp is just the beginning. Here’s how to help your golfer keep improving once camp ends.

1. Review Camp Notes & Videos
  • Log into your CSOG portal and review swing videos and coach notes.
  • Ask your golfer to explain what they worked on and what “clicked.”
  • Choose 1–2 key swing thoughts to focus on over the next month (not 10).
2. Set Simple Goals
  • Pick a time frame: 30 days after camp.
  • Choose 1–2 goals, for example:
    • Level 1–2: “Hit 5 solid shots in a row from the mat.”
    • Level 3–4: “Lower my 9-hole score by 3 strokes.”
    • High School: “Play 9 holes each week and track stats.”
  • Write them down or post them on the fridge so your golfer can see them.
3. Follow a Practice Rhythm
  • 1 technical session per week – work on the drills from camp.
  • 1 games session per week – putting or short-game contests.
  • 1 on-course or simulated round per week if possible.
  • Keep practice fun and short for younger golfers (20–40 minutes).

Next Steps - Level-Specific Suggestions

  • Play “target games” in the yard or at the range (cones, hula hoops, towels).
  • Practice setup and aim in front of a mirror or window 1-3 minutes at a time.
  • Visit the putting green and play “first to 5 made putts” from different distances.
  • Celebrate effort and attitude more than the score to keep it fun.

  • Play 9 holes at least twice a month and keep basic stats (fairways, greens, putts).
  • Use camp drills 1–2 times per week: wedge ladder drill, alignment sticks, etc.
  • Set a scoring goal for the end of the season (for example, break 50 for 9 holes).
  • Consider a monthly junior program or private lessons to keep mechanics on track.

  • Play competitive rounds: junior events, club events, or organized matches.
  • Track strokes-gained style stats: tee shot, approach, short game, putting.
  • Schedule a quarterly performance check-in with your CSOG coach. Enroll in CSOG junior programs
  • Create a simple pre-shot routine and use it on every shot.

  • Follow the personalized practice plan created during High School Camp.
  • Play at least one 18-hole round per week in season and track full stats.
  • Review swing and putting videos monthly and update goals with your coach.
  • Plan a tournament schedule (school, IJGA, local events) with CSOG coach.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US

  • Craig Rosenberg

I met David about 4 years ago when he was at Green To Tee up at Glencoe Golf Club. I hired him to work with my son who wanted to try and be on the high school golf team. My son did make the team and then I decided to start taking lessons from David. In the last 2 years David has taken my handicap from 23 to 14.

My 14-year old son has worked with David for several years. David has helped him develop a very solid golf game; learning all the fundamentals as well as developing the confidence to compete. In addition, David has provided a great example of how to conduct oneself both on the course and in life.

In eighth grade my daughter decided to give up her other sports and start a completely new sport- that being golf. She started with David Maslen who taught her the basics from the ground up. She had never held a golf club before and David patiently and methodically taught her everything she needed to know about the game of golf.

I started to practice golf 5 years ago. Everything seemed difficult till I found David. Since then, my skills improved by a huge margin. I cannot recommend David enough; I send my two boys to the golf camps and it's so rewarding to see the progress.

Playing golf is one of the things I like the most but I never thought I can progress in this sport. David was the only instructor who proved be otherwise; golf is for everyone and we should all trust ourselves.

It's difficult to chose a sport from so many options when you have children. Luckily David's gold camps turned out to be the best solution for my family: I send them every year to the camps and my kids enjoy golf more than any other sport.

By age 15, Sophomore year, my daughter played on the varsity high school golf team. David would come to tournaments and support her during the golf season. He would review her play and focus lessons on her areas of greatest need. He is an encouraging, positive, and an incredibly knowledgeable coach. David sets his standards high and expects his students to put in the time to improve.

David is always kind, professional and encouraging.
My wife and I also appreciate the outstanding communication David has with us and his insights into ways our son can continue to develop and improve.
It has been a pleasure both to watch my son's golf game become very good and to see all the success David is having!

I asked David if he would work with me and my friends and start a group clinic a few days a week during the winter. That was extremely successful and every clinic sold out each week. David is a great teacher.
