Next Steps After Camp – Keep the Momentum Going

Camp is just the beginning. Here’s how to help your golfer keep improving once camp ends.

1. Review Camp Notes & Videos
  • Log into your CSOG portal and review swing videos and coach notes.
  • Ask your golfer to explain what they worked on and what “clicked.”
  • Choose 1–2 key swing thoughts to focus on over the next month (not 10).
2. Set Simple Goals
  • Pick a time frame: 30 days after camp.
  • Choose 1–2 goals, for example:
    • Level 1–2: “Hit 5 solid shots in a row from the mat.”
    • Level 3–4: “Lower my 9-hole score by 3 strokes.”
    • High School: “Play 9 holes each week and track stats.”
  • Write them down or post them on the fridge so your golfer can see them.
3. Follow a Practice Rhythm
  • 1 technical session per week – work on the drills from camp.
  • 1 games session per week – putting or short-game contests.
  • 1 on-course or simulated round per week if possible.
  • Keep practice fun and short for younger golfers (20–40 minutes).
